Founder
Grant is an award-winning global technology entrepreneur. The co-founder of Straker.ai — a company he founded from the bedroom to an IPO in 2018. He has a belief that AI will rewrite 80% of the world's software, and wants to be at the forefront of this change, with the innovative solutions him and the team are building at Slicify. A technology engineer at heart, he understands how AI will impact businesses and wants to help them navigate through this fast-changing commercial landscape. Grant has directly raised more than $50m over the last 20 years and was New Zealand Entrepreneur of the Year with his wife Merryn in 2018 in the Masters category. Grant sits on the board of NZGCP, a New Zealand Government billion-dollar startup investment fund, and is on the board and chair of the AI and Technology Committee at Straker.ai, an ASX-listed company.

Merryn is a highly experienced Executive and expert in real world deployment of AI technology. She has been at the forefront of AI development and deployment since 2011 when Straker built it's first machine learning platforms for translation. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Straker.ai where she overseas the global product team and a Director of Morgo. She has a Bachelor of Management Studies (majoring in Management and HR), from Waikato University.
